Homeowners witnessed giant hailstones measuring up to 7 centimeters in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that various areas across Queensland had been hit with substantial ice precipitation.

Damp conditions were forecast to persist along much of the state's eastern regions this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coast.

The following day was predicted as the heaviest precipitation period, with ongoing severe weather risk anticipated across multiple regions of both states.

Medical authorities cautioned that there was an higher risk of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the countryside regions, specifically given the current weather patterns.
