Three In Contention for Young Athlete of the Year Prize

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the 2025 Young Athlete of the Year award.
These three athletes have been honoured for their remarkable achievements over the last year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a unprecedented innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his remarkable rise.
The three contenders were revealed during a live broadcast on a widely-listened-to radio show.
The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the prestigious sports ceremony show on December 18th.
The ceremony will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.
The Football Star

Just three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.
These match-saving moments led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"To be named a finalist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
Luke Littler
Age: 18 Sport: Darts
Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - while still 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for this award again is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a highlight for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
Perrin's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the season's run tally and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it motivates more girls to get into cricket."
